The Mercedes-Benz SLC is part of the legendary R107 series, introduced in 1971 as a follow-up to the R113 series, which helped form the basis for what we currently know as the phenomenal "SL class. This 450 SLC 5.0 was developed specifically as a homologation model for international rally competitions, a surprising move by the German automaker.

The SLC 5.0 is an elegant and stylish coupe, offering the perfect balance between sportiness and comfort. With a design like a true 2+2, side windows without pillars with a raised roofline for extra headroom in the rear, the SLC offers comfort during every drive for both driver and passengers. The suspension is fully independent and supported by disc brakes, guaranteeing a stable and safe ride at all times. The 450 SLC 5.0 was powered by a new 5.0-liter V8 with an aluminum engine block and heads to save weight, additionally it was also equipped with an aluminum hood, trunk lid and wheels.
